The Twin Cities metro is anchored by Minneapolis and Saint Paul—two cities with distinct personalities, separated and connected by the Mississippi River.
Minneapolis is known for its lakes and parkways. Saint Paul, home to the state capitol, offers historic neighborhoods and architecture. Around them, a ring of communities—from Edina and St. Louis Park to the west, to Woodbury and Lakeville to the east and south—each adds its own character to the metro.
